Forward Inverse is an ellipsoidal calculations software program for Windows 95/NT. The
FWDINV program, which is based on the National Geodetic Services' Forward Inverse program,
has been formatted by Mentor Software for the Windows environment.
Mapping and surveying professionals working with information in distance and azimuth
can now convert their data to latitude/longitude coordinates simply and easily with the
FWDINV program. In the Forward mode, given a latitude/longitude, and a distance and
Azimuth, FWDINV will compute a new lat/long. In the Inverse mode, given two locations by
their geographic coordinates (i.e. Lat/Long), the program will compute the distance in
azimuth between the two points. In all cases, the calculations are ellipsoidal.
